December at Vedanya feels like someone has switched on a little bit of magic. The moment the month begins, the corridors start to look brighter, sound happier, and smell more creative.

Every classroom turns festive in its own way—glittering red stars on walls, cotton snow on boards, paper trees made from leftover chart paper, and Santa caps bobbing everywhere. Every classroom transforms into a tiny Santa’s workshop, with the smell of crayons, paints and bursts of colour filling the air.

… as much about creativity as about celebration. The older students help the little ones cut stars, and together they string up garlands made of recycled wool and painted leaves. There’s a shared excitement that makes the whole school hum with joy.

On the last day before break, we gather in the atrium for a carol singing session. The children’s voices fill every corner, and for a moment, even the adults forget their to-do lists and just listen. It’s a reminder that December isn’t just about the holidays—it’s about togetherness, kindness, and the simple happiness of making something with your own hands.
