Nishchint Chawla

Nishchint brings over three decades of learning experiences from the Education, Media and Communication and Private Equity sectors. As the Director at The Heritage Schools, he led the schools’ strategic planning and operations functions. At EuroSchools, as Executive Trustee, he directed and guided the team in curriculum and product development and spearheaded operations. As a board member of The Bal Bharti Public School system, he is a constant mentor to the group’s leadership team and educators.

With his boundless zeal for exploration and learning, he has previously served as the President of the US Operations at Rediff.com. Before Rediff, as COO at Radio Today and managed the launch and operations of RED FM.

An alumnus of Modern School, New Delhi; Shri Ram College of Commerce and The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University USA, he frequently provides his decades of insights and guidance to numerous educational institutions and corporate organisations. Mentoring organisations in the social impact sector is an aspect that’s especially close to his heart.

At Vedanya he drives strategic planning to ensure the curation of continuous and holistic learning experiences in line with the community's needs and requirements.

Sudeshna Sengupta

Sudeshna has served as an educational leader for nearly four decades driving excellence across learning communities. She was the English HOD and Guidance Counsellor at St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, Kolkata, served as the IB Diploma Coordinator at École Mondiale World School, Mumbai and the founder principal of JBCN International Group of Schools, Mumbai. Her expertise extends to curriculum development in various subjects, including English, History, World Literature and Theory of Knowledge.

She has led professional development workshops for educators in language enrichment, assessment procedures, academic honesty, effective communication, curriculum planning, innovative classroom teaching, etc. She was one of the first mentors for the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm (IPP), initiated by the International Council for Jesuit Education in the Indian perspective, which is based on three elements - experience, reflection and action.

At Vedanya, she oversees the development, implementation and evolution of the academic framework, along with the professional development of mentors and educators.

Akshada Kamat, leadership team

Akshada Kamat

A proficient learner with a Masters in Arts and Education, Akshada started her career with Bombay International School from where she moved on to set up the 1st PYP school in South Mumbai, NSS Hill Spring. After successful foundation years her competence having been noticed, she was handpicked to coordinate the curriculum and co-curricular activities of Aditya Birla World Academy. She attributes this as her Karmabhoomi, where she experimented, expanded and enjoyed every facet of school life.

There was more to come. She went beyond the formal school set-up in her quest for new learning. As the Academic Director of Door Step, one of the oldest NGOs in Mumbai to being a designer of perhaps the first of its kind programme on creative arts for the underprivileged and street children, she entered into a fascinating realm of education services for the community. A sports enthusiast, having represented her State in athletics, Akshada cheers for her favourite team in all sports be it basketball, throwball, football, tennis and cricket to complete the list.

Akshada is a warm and a loving soul who brings to us a conviction, that the entire school ecosystem needs to be cherished in a manner that promotes the same ideals for every individual, irrespective of age and position. Being inclusive and openminded are complimentary, a belief so true for her and Vedanya, and the marketing communication and PR for the brand identity. At Vedanya she heads the school , laying a strong foundation for an ever-learning community.

Anku Sharma

Head, Projects and Operations

With over a decade of experience as a leading learner, Anku has been a strategic consultant and business head for startups, scaleups and established brands. In the education sector, she has led Heritage School’s entry into the early years programme and established the first Heritage Experiential Learning Centre in Gurgaon. She spearheaded the project at various levels from space design to creating and establishing operations and admission strategy.

She was also instrumental in establishing the admission process and parent outreach for senior students at the Heritage Experiential Learning School. In the field of technology she introduced Makers as a movement amongst students, parents and teachers at Heritage School.

As a strategic consultant at Milagrow Business and Knowledge Solutions she has led scaleup and business process re-engineering projects across various industries for clients in India, U.A.E, The US, and Europe. She has also led Milagrow HumanTech’s entry into Tablets and Consumer Robots in India establishing the brand identity and led marketing communication and PR for the brand.

At Vedanya she leads the planning, design, and execution of key initiatives and effectively puts all her learning expertise at play.

Ritu Sharma

Head, ADMISSIONS & COMMUNICATIONS

Ritu comes with more than 25 years of experience of working in Aviation, Edtech and Education sphere. Having spent a decade in the corporate sector immersing in sales, marketing and strategy, she moved to education as the Admission and Strategy planner for Shikshantar, a progressive school based out of Gurgaon. Ritu embraces the ethos of being a learner for life, which weaves into the very fabric of the Vedanya thought. Her expertise in the field of strategy, planning, admissions and outreach is what makes her a valued member of our school team. Living with Prof Walter Lewin’s belief that, ‘what counts is not what you cover, but what you uncover’, Ritu joins us as Head - Admission & Communication.

Sumit Bhasin

Facility Manager

Sumit is an accomplished commerce graduate, an entrepreneur with experience for the last 25 years in Construction and Finance companies, and 4 years’ experience in Hospitality which has given her a vast gamut of experiences as she steps into the domain of school administration and functioning. Her core competency lies in her ability to inspire and lead from the front. Through her compelling enthusiasm and honest work ethics, she motivates the team through diligence and perfection. We, at Vedanya, welcome Sumit as the Manager Facility for our schools.
